Artist's Comments
I decided that I wanted to make my daughter's costume this year. I find the store-bought ones to be thin and usually cheaply made. It seems silly to have to layer clothes under a costume, but in Illinois it's usually cold on Halloween so wearing just the flimsy costume is not an option.
I used McCall's pattern 5731 view B and some old bed sheets to make a princess dress for my little princess. I have only been sewing since March and this is the most complicated item I have made. I'm rather proud of it.  All spread out and modeled by my blinds (I don't own a dress form yet).
